EVENT PREVIEW: Halloween House ft Heatbeat & Rodg @ Genesis10 01-11-19

On Friday, November 1st, 2019, Genesis10 will host trance veterans Heatbeat and Rodg at their event Halloween House with myself, MarTnello, as the local support. Genesis10 is a new club that lies on the border of Markham and Toronto at 10 Esna Park Drive. Genesis10 is a beautiful industry-standard club that brings the quality and experience of a downtown club to the northern part of the city. With a list of solid bookings in the world of trance, like Alexander Popov and Chris Schweizer, they are bringing another night of quality trance in Heatbeat and Rodg.

A lot of buzz is swirling around this event as the two main acts bring such different styles to the decks. Heatbeat with his heavy 138BPM trance and Rodg with his groovy deep trance vibes are going to make for a great progression throughout the night. The Argentinian producer Heatbeat is coming off a recent trip to China where his popularity is surging. He is also riding off of a few new releases this summer with his new psytrance track Chiara and a remix of Muhamed Sherief‘s, You’ll Never Know.

The Dutch Dj/producer Rodg is also joining us after an eventful few weeks. He is coming fresh out of one of the biggest gatherings of musical talent and arguably the biggest industry event in dance music – Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Rodg also has some unbelievable new releases such as his newest track Tephra out on Beatsole. He dropped a new eighteen track album this year called “Fate”, definitely an album for all trance fans to get behind and listen to.

This particular event is special for me as I have been honoured with the opportunity to open the show as the local support under my trance alias MarTnello. Last week I had the pleasure of opening for Chris Schweizer and I am equally as excited to play alongside these two guys. As I mentioned before, these two have very different styles, which puts me in an interesting spot as to where to direct the crowd to open the night. Generally, I like to play a lot of uplifting melodies with darker, heavier basslines. I plan to set the dance floor up with some of my favourite tracks as well as some of my own (unreleased) originals. I want to create anticipation for Rodg and Heatbeat to come in and take over the show.
